Puspashree Kolaghat Farmer Producer Company Limited is one of the Farmer Producer Organization of primary Produce for Small and Marginal farmers are the members and co-founder of the Company, combination them with input linkage, market and ensuring technical and professional support system of the members at Kolaghat Block of Purba Medinipur District in the West Bengal State.
Incorporated on 08thAugust 2022 under Companies Act of 2013 and limited by share. There are 1084 farmers member associated in the company and form most preferred and robust legal framework. The Program was implemented in Kolaghat Block. It has successfully raised share capital of INR 10.84 Lakh from its farmer members. The share capital is being used for day to day business operation. Since its inception the FPC has been highly active and share a high level of bondage and understanding amongst the farming community. The identified farmer’s take a high level of pride of ownership toward the FPC and involve actively in the meeting and program activities.
The FPC was promoted under the central sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10000 FPOs. The FPC was formed to achieve following Objective:
* To promote economically viable, democratic, and self-governing Farmer producer Organizations (FPOs)
* To provide the required assistance and resources – policy action, inputs, technical knowledge, financial resources, and infrastructure – to strengthen these FPOs.
* To remove hurdles in enabling farmers access the markets through their FPOs, both as buyers and sellers.
* To Create an enabling policy environment for investment in FPOs, to leverage their collective production and marketing power.
* To create an alternative source of income through livestock cultivation.
